SMART

Vitesse is SMART

It is the norm nowadays for personal objectives to be set with the guidance of the acronym SMART.

Objectives should be:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Relevant
  • Time Bound

Vitesse is SMART.

Vitesse deals with specific tasks wherever in the operation they are carried out – goods in, putaway, pick, QC or despatch to name some of the departments we see our customers deploying Vitesse.

Tasks within Vitesse are measurable – they’re set up using Standard Operating Procedures and verified against the physical process being carried out on the shop floor. We use industrial engineering data to inform each element of the task being carried out.

Vitesse ensures task times are fair and achievable – having a digital map of the warehouse floor Vitesse understands one way systems and walk paths whilst also recognising if an employee is stooping low to pick stock or stretching high. If there are other handling characteristics such as weight and cube Vitesse can also make use of this data to make for an even more precise target task time.

All tasks within Vitesse are entirely relevant to their specific operational environment and perhaps crucially, Vitesse picks up nuances within tasks to ensure they reflect the activity being carried out. Vitesse accommodates new starters when they join an operation with a speed to competency module ensuring every employee’s evaluation is relevant to where they are on their induction path.

Time bound tasks is a fundamental part of what Vitesse delivers.

Using precise X,Y & Z co-ordinates, understanding walk paths and the task being undertaken Vitesse is certain to bring fairness to the workplace when setting task times that are fair and achievable – because everyone is measured in the same way Vitesse helps to reduce unintended bias.

Vitesse is SMART, proper smart.
