We were recently asked by a prospective customer if we were prepared to underwrite the cost benefits we estimated their operation could find with Vitesse.
Or at least would we underwrite our monthly subscriptions so it was guaranteed to be cost neutral.
It has been raised before – the answer is no, we don’t underwrite the results a customer can garner from deploying Vitesse.
And there’s a straightforward reason for it – it’s up to the warehouse operator to use the information provided by Vitesse and take the pro active steps to reduce costs.
Vitesse’ role is to provide actionable insights for managers to effect the workplace – literally while the shift is running managers can affect the out turn of their day most positively.
Vitesse doesn’t do 1:1 meetings to give feedback and encourage employees, or carry out shift briefings, nor does Vitesse cancel overtime or call the agency vendor to reduce the number of people – that’s down to the management team.
Leadership is what Vitesse needs to be deployed successfully.
Vitesse thrives when there is:
A strategy for the engagement of employees prior to go live.
A communication plan to get managers on board and ready.
A review of reward and recognition programs because soon you’ll know definitively who are the most consistent performers – they need to be recognised and most importantly, retained.
