Frequently Asked Questions

We thought it would be useful to share some of the FAQ’s we encounter when we present Vitesse to prospective customers.

  • Is Vitesse being self funding a certainty?

No, it is not but we have yet to win a customer who has not got a return on their investment.

Vitesse creates data and present this as information, actionable insights if you like, for managers to take pro active steps to make an impact on their operation.

Vitesse cannot conduct 1:1 reviews and talk about performances with employees to help them achieve a consistent level of performance, this is the role of the manager and the key to reducing lost time and increasing productivity.

  • Is there a lot of IT work involved getting Vitesse live?

Experience has told us generally find 5 days of IT effort is sufficient to get the data we need in to Vitesse. Data from a WMS or WCS is essential and data from a Time & Attendance system is ideal.

  • How long does Vitesse take to implement?

Again, from experience and bearing in mind every warehouse has its own characteristics, we would say 6 to 8 weeks is the implementation period – which is pretty rapid.

  • What benefits will we get if we implement Vitesse?

You’ll have a much fairer workplace – Vitesse ensures everyone is evaluated the same and in doing so helps to reduce unintended bias. This being so, staff retention should increase which has wider qualitative benefits as a result of an experienced and stable workforce carrying out tasks.

Productivity will increase because task times are set to fairly reflect the level of needed to complete it – if weight and cube and height information is available Vitesse can use that to make the times even more precise.

Lost and unaccounted for time will reduce thereby increasing capacity or providing an opportunity to reduce available hours.
